Faculty Member, Centre for the History of European Discourses
ARC Research Fellow
About
I am currently an ARC Research Fellow and Deputy Director of the Centre for the History of European Discourses at the University of Queensland. My research focuses on philosophies and histories of the body, informed by gender studies, queer theory, and French post-structuralism.
I am currently working on two monographs: A Critical Genealogy of Normality, and Twentieth-Century Sensorium: Bodily Technologies and the Training of the Senses (funded by the ARC). I am also convening a symposium on representations of medical imaging technologies in the popular media (funded by a University of Queensland Research Excellence Award).
