Along with her research on the politics of emotions and trauma, Emma’s research also brings together her passion for aesthetics, in particular literature.
Emma is currently conceptualising a new collaborative project with Roland Bleiker and David Campbell, which explores the role that images of human suffering play in shaping the conception and practice of contemporary humanitarianism.
