About
My research interests are inquiry-based pedagogies in mathematics and learners’ development of statistical thinking. I have theoretical publications with international colleagues on inferential reasoning, classroom argumentation and the influence of technologies on new knowledge and practices in mathematics education. An interest in teacher development of inquiry-based practices has resulted in a seven-year longitudinal study (in its sixth year), resulting in 15 publications so far. A new collaborative project on statistical argumentation will hopefully produce new research combining informal inferential data-based reasoning and mathematical inquiry.
