About
Tim Dunne is an International Relations (IR) theorist who works broadly within a constructivist framework (while also drawing on critical IR theory and older sociological approaches to the discipline associated with the English school). His plural approach to theory is guided by what is most productive in terms of understanding the role that rules, norms and institutions play in shaping the behaviour of international actors. In addition to IR theory, he has published widely on human rights, and on foreign policy (with particular reference to both Australia and the United Kingdom), on the changing dynamics of world order after 9/11, and on the global humanitarian order.
